**Job Profile Summary**
Provides entry level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of software and technical solutions with the direction and close supervision of a more senior developer
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Supports team of developers in building code to meet product/platform requirements
+ Supports product/platform owner and experienced developers in developing functional application designs and other work products to meet basic design objectives
+ Ensures work products meet detailed customer and user requirements
+ Participates in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
+ Creates and document system design specifications and other technical documents as required
+ Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule
+ Assists in automating test procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards
+ Learns and follows software development methodologies and architecture standards
**MANDATORY EXPERIENCE**
+ Bachelor’s degree in CS or 1 year of relevant developer experience
+ 0-2 years experience as a developer or systems analyst, depending on education
+ Basic understanding of one or more development tools and modern programming languages and platforms (Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, Ruby, Groovy, Salesforce)
+ 1-2 years of experience with version control system (using Git or similar) and understands the use of branching strategies and version management.
**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**
+ Salesforce Admin Certification (or within 3 months of employment)
**COMPETENCIES**
+ Understand foundational code quality principles
+ Understands unit testing and can process the results of static code analysis and scans
+ Understands Agile practices and techniques (e.g. Lean, XP, Scrum, Kanban) and can successfully operate within the context of an Agile project
+ Basic knowledge of DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment / delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and key DevOps tools
+ Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills; identifies problems and proposes possible solutions to meet business objectives.
+ Able to work with supervision and independently in the context of a product team
+ Communicates effectively and professionally
