Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for Associate Software Engineers or Software Engineer (multiple positions) to join the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit in support of our programs, in Huntsville, AL.

The selected candidates’ task encompasses the following: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs automated test software and systems. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, and development. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; Ensures software standards are met.

These positions will be contingent upon funding.

Basic Qualifications:

T01501: Bachelor's degree in STEM or additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be consideredT01502: Bachelor's degree in STEM (and 2 years of relevant experience, or Masters Degree) or additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be consideredMust be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance Experience with Test automation tools and proceduresExperience with Scripting Experience with LinuxUnderstanding of all phases of software development, and practical experience in an Agile/Dev*Ops environment

Salary Range: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00Salary Range 2: $83,300.00 - $124,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
