This is an initial 1 year contract

Cloudera seeks a proactive, collaborative, curious, and customer-oriented Associate Solutions Engineer to join our Field Technical Operations organization. Our team is a part of the Solutions Engineering organization and helps solve a wide range of problems to enable our pre-sales experts to be more effective. These problems will help you develop deep technical expertise in an array of industry leading technologies.

As an Associate Solutions Engineer you will:

Maintain, upgrade and support demo systems and environments (public cloud and on-premises) with high uptime

Collaborate with various Cloudera teams including solutions engineering, field specialists, engineering, product, and support to resolve technical issues, develop new demo content, and implement best practices in demo environments

Support Solutions Engineers when issues arise with demo systems

Work across the organization to develop and maintain new and existing demo content

Assist with answering technical questions on RFPs/RFIs 

We're excited about you if you have (qualifications):

Understanding of basic Linux, DataBase, or programming concepts preferred.

Experience with Kubernetes and one (or more) of the major cloud vendors

Proven ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Bonus: Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform and DevOps principles
