Associate Specialist - Vendor Master

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Summary:

Sunoco LP is seeking a dynamic and analytical Vendor Management - Associate Specialist to join our Analytics and Procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with contracts, and optimizing vendor performance to support the company's objectives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contract Compliance:

         Monitor vendor contracts to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, insurance, and service level agreements (SLAs).          Coordinate contract renewals, extensions, and amendments as necessary.          Work closely with legal and procurement teams to mitigate contractual risks and resolve disputes effectively.          Maintains SAP vendor records and capability tagging          Maintain material groups and material master as needed

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

         Implement metrics and KPIs to evaluate vendor performance and identify areas for improvement.          Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize vendor processes and deliverables.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

         Analyze vendor-related data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.          Prepare and present reports on vendor performance, expenditures, and other relevant metrics to stakeholders.          Utilize analytics tools and software to extract actionable insights and support decision-making processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to align vendor management activities with organizational goals and priorities.          Participate in strategic planning sessions and procurement meetings to contribute insights and recommendations on vendor-related matters.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

   Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.          0-2 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or related roles preferred          SAP/S4 HANA System experience is strongly preferred          Understanding of contract management principles and procurement processes.          Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of tools and techniques, with experience in generating actionable insights from large datasets.          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.          Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.          Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
