We have an exciting opportunity for a Restaurant Recovery Underwriting Associate, where you will be part of an entrepreneurial team of underwriters and play a key role in results and strategy of the product at Tokio Marine HCC Specialty Group in the Crisis Management division, located in our Mount Kisco, NY office.

Performance Objectives:
Gain understanding of the underwriting process: During the first 30 days learn how to evaluate the unique risks of Restaurant Recovery Insurance, review submissions and ask a lot of questions throughout the process.Review and Quote less complicated risks: During the first 90 days be able to quote easier risks, with little oversight needed.Understand more complex risks: During the first 6 months begin to understand more complex restaurant recovery risks.Find creative solutions: During the first 60 days and beyond show critical thinking skills by finding creative solutions to write the business and satisfy both the client and the risk-taker.Your Skills & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is requiredThe Restaurant Recovery Insurance Underwriting Associate is an entry level position; internship(s) or job experience in business or a related area preferredOffice environment work experience is requiredExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsIncredible attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Office 365Strong written and verbal communication skillsAdept at working as part of a team yet capable of working independently as neededNew York Residents Only
For candidates working in Mt. Kisco, NY the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $55,000 - $70,000 annually. “The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
