Position Summary:
The Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) Lead is responsible for driving cost reduction initiatives and enhancing product value by systematically analyzing and improving products and processes. The VAVE Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, maintain product quality, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
VAVE Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement VAVE strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify and prioritize VAVE projects based on potential impact and feasibility.
Cost Reduction and Value Improvement
- Conduct thorough analyses of products and processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to develop and implement VAVE initiatives.
- Use tools such as Function Analysis, Cost Modeling, and Value Engineering to evaluate and improve product designs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional teams in brainstorming and implementing VAVE projects.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to generate ideas and drive project progress.
- Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Project Management
- Manage VAVE projects from concept through implementation.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Track and report on project progress, ensuring milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Train and mentor team members on VAVE methodologies and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance VAVE processes.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation of VAVE activities, findings, and outcomes.
- Prepare and present reports to management on the impact of VAVE initiatives.
Education Qualification
BE degree/ master’s in mechanical / Automobile engineering/Thermal with stronng academics. 5 to 7 Years of Industry ExperienceSAVE/INVEST – VAVE certification preferable. Proven track record of successfully leading VAVE projects and achieving significant cost reductions.
