Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Technical Lead specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to join our Modeling & Simulation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ANSYS tools, including CFX and Fluent, and a strong background in flow and thermal analysis, battery thermal management systems (BTMS), electronic cooling etc. Proficiency in analytical calculations, Python, and C programming is essential. Additionally, experience in solidification and melting, multiphase simulations, and HVAC domain expertise is highly preferred. Knowledge in supporting the testing and validation of CFD models is also required.
Key Competencies:
Proven experience (7+ years) in CFD analysis using ANSYS tools (CFX and Fluent).Strong flow and thermal analysis background, with specific experience in BTMS and electronic cooling.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Knowledge and experience in supporting the testing and validation of CFD models.Experience in solidification and melting, multiphase simulations, and HVAC domain expertise.Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics principles.Experience with digital technologies, IoT, and data analytics is highly desirable.Knowledge of electrification trends and their impact on HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage CFD projects from concept through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.Utilize ANSYS tools (CFX and Fluent) for detailed flow and thermal analyses.Develop and implement CFD models for battery thermal management systems (BTMS) and electronic cooling applications.Create and optimize user-defined functions (UDF) to enhance simulation capabilities.Conduct analytical calculations to validate and support CFD results.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate CFD insights into product development.Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a collaborative team environment.Stay updated with the latest advancements in CFD, digital technologies, and HVAC industry trends.Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Work closely with US and European customers to understand their requirements, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.Support the testing team in validating CFD models to ensure the accuracy and reliability of simulation results.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer.Experience with machine learning and AI applications in CFD and HVAC systems (Preferred).Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient technologies (Preferred).Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ (Preferred).Experience with cloud-based simulation platforms and high-performance computing (HPC) environments (Preferred).Career Break:
