Associate Test Technician Job Locations US-GA-Gainesville ID 2024-15085 Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Electrical Lab Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Gainesville, GA. As a member of the operations team at Element Gainesville, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments focusing on safety' performance testing and failure analysis of batteries for automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, medical devices, wearables, and other applications.  

Responsibilities Set up, manage and drive to completion various battery testing projects, primarily on lithium ion batteriesProficient using various lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, data loggers and temperature chambersManage and oversee multiple projects at a timeUse test procedures, schematics or provided documentation to execute testingCommunicate directly with engineers to ensure a high level of technical supportCompile test results and support test report developmentSupport technical root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testingSimple fabrication/modification of basic test fixturesActively participate in laboratory housekeeping and safety (5S) Skills / Qualifications Associate degree or Higher preferredLithium ion battery test experience preferredLab or test equipment experience preferredMeticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-taskGood communication and analytical capabilitiesRequires Microsoft office skills, especially ExcelAbility to work effectively within cross-functional teams
