Performs delegated functions as a member of the Patient Transport Department to provide the following services: transport patients to and from testing or treatment areas, STAT requests for specimens and patients, discharge patients to designated areas, transport of outpatients to inpatient and testing areas, and other delivery services utilizing the Transport Tracking System.

High School diploma preferred. No previous work experience required.Work requires the ability to read and understand written instruction. CPR certificate must be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in a normal patient care area or office environment where there are relatively few physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, noise and the like.Works with equipment or performs procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.Work requires exposure to blood and various body fluids which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines and equipment.
