Responsibilities

 

*This position is open to multiple U.S. locations. Preferably near a U.S. HW Kaufman office location.*

 

Responsible for assisting a team of underwriters with Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) Casualty business on a brokerage basis via a nationwide network of wholesale brokers.

 

Assist and support underwriters with new and renewal business including rating, form selection, binding, policy issuance and invoicingQuality control of various documents including quotes, policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoicesHandle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellence service standardsDeliver high quality service to wholesale broker customersLearn the underwriting process and appetite and assist underwriters with new business, endorsement and renewal underwritingEvaluate submission, renewal and inspection information as part of the underwriting processIn conjunction with underwriters, work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships and enhance their understanding of the Company’s Underwriting rationale, philosophy and criteria Qualifications Bachelor’s degree2+ years of Property & Casualty underwriting support experienceUnderwriting support in Excess and Surplus lines environment strongly preferredProficient in policy and workflow insurance applicationsHigh energy and desire to learn
