Associate V** We are looking for a Specialist Engineering to join our GEC team in Freeport,TX. **Come create chemistry with us!** The BASF Freeport Site Services organization is seeking a highly motivated Specialist Engineering with demonstrated ability to provide administrative support effectively and efficiently to the Site Services operations and backup support for the Site General Manager. This position will frequently have contact with the Site Leadership Team and Site Services Leadership team. The ideal candidate is highly articulate, proactive, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision and take initiative to make decisions within a limited scope. This position also requires the ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources to successfully meet requested deadlines and objectives **During your shift as a Associate V, you will** • Administrative support to the Site Services operations, Site Services Director, and backup support for the Site General Manager. • Group Pro-Card administrator for both Engineering and XA Services Groups. • Scheduling appointment/meetings, meeting minutes, maintaining calendars, preparing agendas, initiating/preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements, process expense reports, screen incoming calls and respond independently when possible. • Submit IT access requests in support of office equipment, mobile phone, SAP access, PC's shared files and other network support for team members. • Perform and follow up on various projects and administrative functions for the department. • Act as conference room administrator to resolve conflicts and serve as focal point for meeting room equipment operability and maintenance ("smart board," projector, PC, conference phone, Local Area Network (LAN) and wireless connectivity, etc.). • Maintain assigned databases, shared spreadsheets/documents, update organization charts, team distribution lists, emergency manuals, etc., and oversee shared folders as well as coordinate document retention activities. • Manages all Engineering websites – standards, procedures, handbooks, etc. • Back-up to Freeport and Geismar website management. • Partner with & serve as backup for other Administrative Assistant's in the office to ensure administrative support is provided. • Recognized SAP Power user in project, maintenance and finance systems. • Group coordination of office supply orders for Engineering, Design and XA Services Groups. **If you...** • High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum seven (7) years secretarial or administrative experience which includes progression to positions of increased responsibility and technical difficulty. (Chemical Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and e-mail communication tools. • Proficient in the review, update and development of PowerPoint presentations. • Proficient in various software – SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, etc. • Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information. • Ability to multi-task and has strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to learn various BASF administrative systems such as Check Request System, Expense Reporting, AccessIT, etc. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
