Associate Veterinarian

VCA Calvert Veterinary Center is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our tenured DVM team in Pasadena, Maryland.

We offer our clients a high standard of care and we believe in educating our clients so they can make the best medical choices for their pets. We have a new state-of-the-art facility with six exam rooms and ample equipment to compliment your skills and knowledge so you can practice the high level of medicine to which you are accustomed. We are dedicated to active learning and advanced medical procedures. Our highly skilled support staff play an integral role in supporting our doctors and providing excellent medical care to our patients and a high level of customer service to our clients. Our community-based practice provides opportunities to engage with our clients in a variety of settings including service projects, client education seminars, and family friendly festivals.

Our practice focuses on small animals and has a quickly growing patient population of exotic companion mammals, bird, reptiles and pot-bellied pigs.  Proficiency in surgery and dentistry is beneficial. We handle all types of appointments from wellness to patients requiring hospitalization. We routinely use laser therapy, our in house lab, CO2 surgical laser, digital x-ray and digital ultrasound as tools to help our patients.  Our practice is Feline Friendly Gold certified and many of our staff are Fear Free certified.

Our practice is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 to 7:30 and Saturday 8:00 to 1:00.  We are flexible when it comes to individual doctor schedules so let us know what works for you!  No on-call duties required.

We are located near the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, which hosts many outdoor recreational opportunities and is only 2 hours from Maryland and Delaware beaches.  Our practice is conveniently located only 20 minutes north of Annapolis and 20-30 minutes south of Baltimore.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
