As we grow ILM Sydney, we are seeking an Associate VFX Producer to join the team and be a part of this exciting opportunity.
Your Role
The Associate VFX Producer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, production and delivery of specific shows with a focus on the highest standard of quality, delivery on time and on budget, under the direction of the ILM Producers and in collaboration with ILM teams.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Resource Management: Proactively manage the show schedule in collaboration with the Show Producer, leveraging ILM's global resources and third-party partners effectively. This includes creating, maintaining, and overseeing the overall production schedule, and optimizing artist utilization across disciplines. Adjust crew start/end dates and balance artist needs as the show schedule evolves. Collaborate with the Show Producer and supervisors to plan work assignments and ensure maximum resource utilization. Participate in regular status meetings to determine upcoming crewing needs.
Budget Management: In partnership with the Show Producer, create, maintain, and oversee the show budget. Utilize "Bids vs. Actuals" and financial reporting tools to track show performance weekly, proactively raising concerns and developing creative solutions to address any discrepancies. Partner with production accounting to ensure financial accuracy throughout the show's progression.
Problem Solving & Workflow Optimization: Provide support for technical and creative issues, ensuring work stays on schedule and optimal workflow is maintained. Proactively identify and resolve problems, escalating issues appropriately and ensuring timely solutions.
Collaboration & Communication: Partner with key creative leadership to ensure successful project completion. Foster a strong team environment by promoting open communication and camaraderie amongst team members. Provide timely, actionable, and constructive feedback to artists and production teams to facilitate growth and achieve objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Learn and contribute to ILM's best practices across shows.
What We’re Looking For:8+ years work experience in production to include strong working knowledge of post production techniques and terminology.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Proficiency in PCs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google suite.
Experience with a wide range of production management tools (such as Shotgrid, etc)
Must possess very strong organisational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines.
