The Quantitative Strategies and Data Group (QSDG) is seeking an Associate/VP for a Hong Kong based role covering the Prime Financing business.

Primarily focusing on tools, analysis, pricing, optimization, risk, workflow and PL; the role requires strong technical skills and an ability to work directly with trading, in a fast paced environment, to help deliver on the strategic objectives for the equity business. Strong communication skills and an ability to work both individually and part of a team is a must.

In this role you will:

Develop understanding of the Prime Financing Business covering physical prime brokerage, equity swaps and stock loan.Gain experience working directly with trading desks providing analytics covering pricing, profitability, risk and execution.Enhance existing inventory management models and infrastructure.Develop P&L, client profitability, regulatory capital and other analytical tools for the trading desk.

Required Skills:

Bachelors/Masters/PhD in technical discipline (Computer Science/Applied Mathematics/Physics/Engineering/Statistics)Strong programming, analytical and data skills. Familiarity with data structuresFamiliarity with object oriented and functional programming (Python preferred)Working knowledge of relational/column-based databasesExcellent writing and verbal communication skills – able to present complex material in a simple mannerExperience working in a front-office role is beneficialKnowledge of and experience working with prime brokerage/derivatives/financing products is helpfulExperience with portfolio optimization and factor risk models a plusExperience with machine learning techniques a plus
