Bancroft is currently seeking an Associate VP of Revenue Cycle in Cherry Hill, NJ!
ResponsibilitiesThe AVP of Revenue Cycle will report to the organization’s Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s revenue cycle management (“RCM”). The AVP will provide leadership, organizational and strategic direction to drive efficient, accurate and compliant revenue cycle management billing activities to maximize reimbursement. The AVP will develop and implement strategies, processes and technology to continuously improve and manage the revenue cycle at Bancroft. The AVP will also consult and work directly with leadership across managed care payers and with technology to advise and consult on key processes and resource needs to improve operations, productivity and collection rates.
Leads, directs and oversees operations and activities for all of the RCM functions, including insurance verification, documentation, billing, accounts receivable, collections and denial management.Leads the development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies, processes and improvement initiatives to continuously improve the RCM process to maximize billing and collections. Determines the structure of the RCM team to maximize RCM operations and control costs.Ensures compliance in all aspects of RCM activities, including coding and billing rules and regulations by payer. Responsible for monitoring and responding to any legislation/regulatory billing changes.Ensures the identification, analysis and implementation of solutions designed to improve collection rates, reduce bad debt and reduce days sales outstanding.Drives the design, execution, monitoring and assessment of key RCM performance metrics (i.e., DSO, bad debt, etc.) to refine processes and improve efficiencies/productivity to reduce overall costs.Leads and manages large revenue cycle projects such as audits, budgets, and technology enhancements.Responsible for building and designing a high-performance team by function and infrastructure to scale with projected growth of Bancroft.Management responsibilities include:Strategic, tactical and operational planning for the RCM departmentDirect budgetary responsibility for the departmentInterpretation and execution of policies for the department and RCM across the organizationRecommendation and implementation of new policies or modifications to existing policiesService as primary liaison with external, third-party billing company QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, finance or related field. Five to seven years’ relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ supervisory/management experience required. Experience applying knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections across Medicare, Medicaid and managed care. Experience applying knowledge in collecting, analyzing and reporting revenue cycle management data used to identify opportunities and strategies for improvement. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with accounting software systems and the MS Office Suite. Excellent Excel skills and the ability to build complex financial models.
