POSITION SUMMARY: The Analyst II of Assortment Analytics will support the Manager of Assortment Analytics to develop and execute analytical concepts in our assortment planning/category management landscape. This individual will support processes and analytics that will influence merchandise strategies, product selection, and improve our organizational processes using space aware data to make assortment decisions. This role resides within the Merchandise Operations business team and will work with numerous cross functional business areas (Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory, Planning, etc.) The Assortment Analytics Analyst II will work closely with the Merchants to execute strategies, refine data outputs, and translate data into visual communicative presentations. This individual will understand and follow predetermined category timelines and processes. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and work cross functionally with Merchandising teams to review, adjust, execute, and track category assortments. Deliver assortment and space optimization reporting for designated categories leveraging sales, inventory, and macro & micro space data. Maintain reporting and/or templates to support enterprise initiatives that drive improved integration of data to influence assortment decisions (improve department, brand and or item productivity) being made by blending the art/science of merchandising. Support special projects that drive productivity for the category. Communicate complex ideas in both analytical and user-friendly language to engage and inform various audiences. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Create effective PowerPoint presentations that include influential data points utilizing easy to interpret visuals. Support Store Planning Management team in gaining cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, project team and other departments within the organization. Present insights to Merchandising team in large group settings. Automate processes and analyze data using PowerBI, Dax Studio, and Excel. Learn applicable processes and capabilities for space and floor planning to influence analytics requirements. Coordinate with Systems, IT and BI teams to ensure efficient use of data and technology. REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION: BA/BS or equivalent required. Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in merchandising, planning and/or data analytics. Proficiency with retail performance measures. Strong business acumen with the ability to generate insights to optimize assortments which align with category business objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Self-driven individual who can seek clarification or understanding as necessary. Strong critical thinking abilities, able to identify challenges, adapt to new scenarios, and develop thoughtful, strategic solutions. Clear planning and prioritizing skills with a detailed approach to tasks and responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and effectively convey ideas to diverse audiences. Strong technical aptitude for interpreting data, translating complex information into actionable insights. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, able to prioritize appropriately and respond to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude. Working knowledge of Blue Yonder Category Management Suite a plus. The pay range for this position is $64,900.00 - $90,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
