The Primary Care Network (Family & Community Medicine) is recruiting a Physician to provide clinical effort at the Timothy Freeman, MD, Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The Freeman Center strives to be a national leader in providing specialized, coordinated, patient-centered care to adults with IDD. Ideal applicants would have experience working with adults with IDD.

Essential Functions Provide primary care to adults with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and many rarer syndromes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team. Communicate well with patients with a variety of communication styles. Communicate well with caregivers, families, and support staff. Communicate with multiple specialists within the health system to coordinate care. Document findings, plan, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards. Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact on patient care. Maintain records and statistics in accordance with department policies. Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings. Participate in department's continuous quality improvement efforts. Provide education to other health care professionals. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Medical Degree (MD or DO). Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board. Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine. Active DEA license.
