Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating receiving clerks and warehouse storeroom attendants, including safety issues.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling of all Warehouse/Receiving employees to ensure adequate coverage at all times Staffing, interviewing, hiring, timely evaluations of all subordinates, progressive disciplinary action of employees as applicableTraining, teaching, coaching (cross training when applicable) of all Warehouse/Receiving Department employeesProfessional interaction and communication with all Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino-Tampa employees thereby ensuring the Warehouse/Receiving Department provides superior customer service at all timesEnsure the proper debits and credits are processed and signatures are obtained regarding all paperwork transactionsEnsure all warehouse inventory par levels are maintained/adjusted according to business demands/volumes – timely ordering of all warehouse inventory itemsMaintenance of all inventory par levels according to business volumes/usageManage/Maintain department annual budgetary numbersMaintain waste reports working closely with the Cost ControllerProcess of accurate receiving paperwork working closely with Cost ControllerEnsuring accuracy/quality of all delivered/received items/servicesEnsuring all delivered/received items are distributed/processed in a timely mannerEnsuring accuracy and timeliness of all items stocked/pulledEnsuring timely and proper rotation of all inventory items – FIFOEnsures inventory waste is kept to a minimumDaily walk-throughs of all inventory locations including freezers/coolers checking dates on all items ensuring quality usable product is being storedCommunicates excess inventory levels effectively with F & B managementEnsures continual monitoring of all freezer/cooler temperatures dailyEnsures all warehouse equipment is in proper working orderEnsures safety compliance at all timesResponsible for the inventory of all warehouse storerooms on a monthly basis as scheduled and assists in researching/locating variances as necessaryReviews/Updates inventory requisitionsEnsures inventory product is being charged out at proper averaging costEnsures the security of all warehouse inventory locations at all timesEnsures all storerooms are maintained in a clean, neat, organized mannerMaintains a positive demeanor and promotes moraleAll other duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalentMinimum 2 years casino warehouse management experienceValid Florida driver’s license and ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle required in good standing with no exemptions, suspensions, revocations, etc...Must possess extensive knowledge of Stratton Warren Inventory Purchasing System and all sub-systems within as they relate to the warehouse, receiving and inventory departments/locationsTeam-orientedManagement skills and ability to multi taskExcellent organization skills requiredMust be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
Work Environment:
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
