We have an immediate opening for a full time Assistant Supervisor- ASC to join our Margate, FL team.  The schedule is working M-F 7am-5pm and rotating weekends 7am- 3pm.

How You’ll Contribute:

Provides and Directs Clinical Care: Delegates responsibilities for patient care and services to be rendered. Assumes care for selected IVF patients as needed to support program operations and assesses the patient for the appropriate level of care to be delivered. Acts as resource and support to the nursing staff for ongoing clinical education, care of complex patients, and workload balancing. Ensures care of Back Offices, including cleanliness, sterility and operational function of all items (equipment, tools, machines and instruments) in exam rooms. Ensures aseptic technique is maintained during procedures according to approved OSHA standards. Initiates the emergency response team as needed when a patient emergency arises. Able to perform phlebotomy procedures as needed. Oversees ordering of supplies and maintenance for operations of exam rooms in all Back Offices. Works to keep department within budget.  Assists as necessary with clinical staff caseloads and provides staff relief as required during vacations and illnesses. Ensures that RN’s understand the OAP system and manage patient care appropriately. Assures effectiveness of Back Office Operations and efficiency of the “Today’s Schedule” in responding to all callbacks: Acts as a liaison with physicians, nursing staff and, sonographers ensuring cases are taken care of appropriately, ensuring adequate staff is available.  Maintains and oversees records for: Sample Medication Log, Back Office Medication Log, Mc Kesson Supplies’ Log, Patient Log for the Back Office, and, refrigerator logs. Assures compliance with AAAHC and other regulatory standards for nursing services and documentations purposes. Provides for adequate and safe exam room supplies and equipment: Provides and controls material, supplies and equipment required. Evaluates need for new or different equipment or supplies. Collects data and submits to Director of Operations for new equipment needs. As a clinical expert in the field of Infertility, acts as a liaison with the Medical Team regarding Clinical Protocols, new drugs and, equipment changes.  Provides in-services and hold Nursing Dept. meetings every month for reviewing SOP’s, changes in Clinical Protocols, new equipment, or any changes, advances and, novelties in the Nursing Department at RSC. Ensures all staff has BLS renewed every 2 years.

What You'll Bring:

Current state RN license for the state of employment without limitations required. Current BLS and ACLS certification, or acquire within one month of employment. 2-3 years Perioperative Nursing experience within the past seven (7) years. 1 year nurse supervisory experience in perioperative arena. ​Ambulatory Surgical Suite or tertiary care facility experience is highly desirable. Member of AORN, CNOR certification desirable. Flexibility with work schedule including weekend, holiday, and late afternoon coverage. ​
