The Opportunity
The Assistant Technical Designer provides support across all categories in the Technical Design organization for both proprietary brands and market brands. You will be at the core of the Department aiding the Technicians to facilitate the product development Technical Design process. Categories include woven, knits, sweaters, swim wear, tailored and outerwear across multiple brands
You will report to the Sr Technical Designer.

Your Impact
You will measure garments and enter specs in PLM system.
You will maintain development tech packs to support the Technical Design team.
You will update grade rule guidelines and libraries.
You will update construction sketches in tech pack specifications.
You will assist with preparation for Fit Sessions. Attend fit sessions and record notes for the Technical Designer.
You will prepare samples for best presentation before fit or sample review.
You will help analyze garment construction, workmanship and analysis of pattern from vendor when needed.
You will measure samples compare construction and overall execution vs. tech pack requirement.
What You Bring
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design or related program,
Education: Minimum 2 year course completion in Technical Design or Design related studies
Minimum Experience: 2 -3 years of industry experience.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
