Our Capital Markets team based in London is the leading practice of its kind in any professional services firm globally. It provides assurance and related services to clients accessing the capital markets. We provide regulatory and reporting advice with a particular focus on the United States of America (US) and United Kingdom (UK). For example, launching an initial public offering (IPO), US GAAP conversions, managing US M&A/IPOs or implementing internal control programs.
The opportunity
This is a high-profile role working with some of our most interesting clients and offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your experience and gain further exposure to the capital markets. Our Capital Markets team is seeking US or UK qualified accountants with significant PCAOB & SEC auditing experience. You will benefit from exposure to our SEC foreign private issuers and private companies preparing for an IPO.
Your key responsibilities
Utilising your audit skills to support teams with PCAOB audits, US GAAP, SOX and SEC reporting requirements and with their IPOs, M&A and debt deals Leading and delivering technical accounting support on US GAAP conversions Producing and reviewing reports and analysis of accounting issues related to capital raising strategies and regulatory matters Project managing transactions and stakeholders Building your network internationally as you help companies execute their transactions Performance management and coaching of colleagues
Skills and attributes for success
Colleagues and clients from a diverse array of backgrounds will look to you for guidance, so you’ll be a prominent contact when it comes to resolving complex issues. As you build on your pre-existing knowledge and experience of PCAOB, US GAAP, and SEC accounting and reporting requirements, you’ll become a credible advisor, influencing clients and teams on resolutions that can impact entire transactions. Your technical skills will be stretched and tested as you broaden your knowledge.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Fully qualified as a US CPA or UK equivalent A minimum of 5 years’ audit experience working in a large audit practice, on SEC registrants with a deep knowledge of PCAOB audits, including internal controls Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, with baseline IFRS Experience providing assurance services to clients undertaking capital raising Ability to work effectively in a team environment Project and people management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills
