Astronaut Rescue & Recovery Operational Planner

Job Summary: Alluvionic is seeking an  Astronaut Rescue and Recovery Operational Planner   onsite at an Air Force client facility on Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This full-time position supports the 1st Air Force (1 AF), Detachment 3 and serves as a liaison between United States Space Command, 1 AF, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Artemis Program, Commercial Crew Program (CCP), and Soyuz Program. Clearance Required:  Yes – Secret Clearance *This is an onsite position.* Key Responsibilities: Help develop, specify and execute operational planning tasks for 1AF, Det 3 and higher headquarters.  Support planning teams; produce and update concepts of operations, orders, instruction, requirements, and applicable support agreements in support of the HSFS mission. Education and Work Experience  Basic Qualifications: + Previous experience as a rated aviation, naval surface warfare or special operations officer or warrant officer with 15 years of experience. + Possess a working knowledge of JOPES, strategic planning, and have staff experience in a headquarters, major command or higher-level planning cell (any Service equivalent or U.S. Coast Guard). + Assist writing, coordinating and staffing interagency support agreements using appropriate documents (i.e., Forms 7600A and B) for planning, training and mission execution requirements. + Assist planning, staffing and execution of rescue, recovery and retrieval training, development tests, and exercise events. + Assist writing, coordinating and staffing DoD support agreements and host-tenant agreements using appropriate documentation. + Assist writing, coordinating and staffing HSFS orders, plans, instructions, concepts of operations, briefing presentations, papers, requirements and reports in support of HSFS planning, training, exercises and mission execution. + Collaborate with mission partners to develop, specify and document rescue, recovery and retrieval requirement documents. + Collaborate with mission partners to integrate validated requirements into required documents and products (e.g. concepts of operations). + Collaborate with mission partners to monitor all support agreements to ensure they meet mission requirements and remain current. + Collaborate with mission partners to help oversee status of off-site facilities at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and Joint Base Charleston to meet mission needs. + Collaborate with mission partners to facilitate necessary changes to agreements and facilities to optimize off-site mission support. + Facilitate training by assisting reception and bed down efforts prior to and during unit-led training activities. + Assist the unit in conducting mission simulations and command and control exercises to support unit upgrade training and verification of tactics, techniques and procedures for rescue, recovery and retrieval missions. + Serve as a Mission Coordinator in the SOC for any training or development test activity. + Help coordinate deployment, onsite operations and redeployment logistics with attached forces in support of crewed missions. + Assist with off-site liaison support activities, as necessary. + Serve as a Mission Coordinator in the SOC for any HSFS mission activity. + Ability to work independently to plan and complete assignments on time, ensure products are thorough, logical, meet objectives, and are grammatically correct, analyze complex problems, and develop and articulate recommended plans and objectives that lead to resolution within existing policy or instruction guidance + Ability to produce high quality products and provide high quality recommendations that are consistent with a fiscally constrained mission environment. + Ability to work occasional 24/7 shift work, including weekends and holidays. Additional Qualifications: + Preferred: BA or BS degree + Preferred: Previously served at the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, Joint Search and Rescue Center, or Rescue Coordination Center. + Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills + An ability to interact with military, contractors, and interagency personnel to build teams and maintain good working relationships Who We are: Alluvionic is a woman-owned, 8(a) certified solutions provider of project management and process improvement services.
