Astronaut Rescue & Recovery Operations Strategic Planner

Job Summary: Alluvionic is seeking an  Astronaut Rescue and Recovery Operations Strategic Planner onsite at an Air Force client facility on Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This full-time position supports the 1st Air Force (1 AF), Detachment 3 and serves as a liaison between United States Space Command, 1 AF, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Artemis Program, Commercial Crew Program (CCP), and Soyuz Program. Clearance Required:  Yes – Secret Clearance *This is an onsite position.* Key Responsibilities: Help develop, specify and execute strategic planning tasks; support planning teams; produce and update concepts of operations, orders, instruction, requirements, and applicable support agreements in support of the HSFS mission. Education and Work Experience  Basic Qualifications: + Previous experience as a rated aviation, naval surface warfare or special operations officer or warrant officer with 15 years of experience. + Possess a working knowledge of JOPES, strategic planning, and have staff experience in a headquarters, major command or higher-level planning cell (any Service equivalent or U.S. Coast Guard). + Ability to support 1 AF, Det 3 in the role as principal liaison for unit strategic-level planning tasks by providing COCOM-level staff expertise for HSFS. + Ability to assist execution of joint planning IAW Joint Publication 5-0 and Joint Operations IAW the Joint Publication 3-0 series. + Ability to assist writing, coordinating and staffing HSFS orders, plans, instructions, concepts of operations, briefing presentations, papers, and reports in support of HSFS planning, training, exercises and mission execution. + Ability to assist planning and execution of Joint Staff and higher headquarters HSFS exercises and war games. + Ability to assist coordination with appropriate DOD agencies, interagency, and local chains of command to assemble/consolidate necessary documentation/slides in support of all related working groups, to include calendar notifications, and documentation preparation, (e.g., appropriate printed slide decks, etc.) delivered during required meetings, and record all relevant minutes with assigned tasks and attendance in COCOM format. + Ability to assist efforts to integrate and coordinate HSFS efforts across all NASA programs. + Ability to periodically check for changes to joint planning guidance and instructions. + Ability to attend USSC provided training, as required. + Ability to utilize command directed command and control tools (NIPR and SIPR) for the execution of HSFS training and exercise tasks. + Ability to be prepared to flex shifts to support training and exercises. + Ability to be prepared to travel to higher headquarters to support exercises, as directed. + Ability to utilize command directed command and control tools (NIPR and SIPR) for the HSFS mission execution. + Ability to be prepared to flex shifts to support 24-hour operations in times that require staffing beyond the standard day shift to fulfill COCOM mission requirements. + Ability to be prepared to travel to higher headquarters to support mission execution, as directed. + Ability to work independently to plan and complete assignments on time, ensure products are thorough, logical, meet objectives, and are grammatically correct, analyze complex problems, and develop and articulate recommended plans and objectives that lead to resolution within existing policy or instruction guidance + Ability to produce high quality products and provide high quality recommendations that are consistent with a fiscally constrained mission environment Additional Qualifications: + Preferred: BA or BS degree + Preferred: Previously served at the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, Joint Search and Rescue Center, or Rescue Coordination Center. + Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills + An ability to interact with military, contractors, and interagency personnel to build teams and maintain good working relationships Who We are: Alluvionic is a woman-owned, 8(a) certified solutions provider of project management and process improvement services.
