Job Summary: To coordinate and provide sports medicine services in the community, schools and therapy clinics. Performs a wide variety of athletic training evaluation and procedures in the care and treatment athletes. Coordinates and works closely with school officials including Athletic Director, Coaches, CaroMont Health Sports Medicine Coordinator, Director Rehab Services and Service Line Director to provide Sports Medicine Services and program development and growth.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university. NCBATE licensure as well as NATA Board of Certification required. Two-three years in athletic training including on field experience preferred. Considerable knowledge of physical therapy and sports medicine terminology, procedures, and techniques. Thorough skill in performing athletic training procedures. Ability to deal tactfully with family members, athletes, coaches, school employees, physicians, community and hospital personnel. Considerable judgment required in working with athletes and performing treatments
