Job Description:

The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide outreach "Athletic Training Services" to athletes of a local professional team under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician, and in accordance with state athletic training practice act.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree as a Certified Athletic Trainer required; 5 years of experience in the athletic training field or 3 years of direct experience in the given sports athletic training field may be accepted in lieu degree.

Certification to practice athletic training in the state of Kentucky via State Board of Medical Licensure.

Certification as a strength and conditioning specialist.

BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) – required within 90 days of hire.

Current KY Driver’s License in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of disability and problems commonly encountered in the care of orthopedic and sports-oriented patients preferred.
