As a Certified Athletic Trainer Supervisor, responsibilities include the supervision of the camp athletic training room and facilitating the first response to medical emergencies that occur on camp facilities for campers, staff, guests and visiting athletes. Within this role there are varying degrees of processes which must be understood and prioritized in order to successfully achieve the daily operations of this department.

This position is classified under California's Camp Counselor exemption (LAB 1182.4 and Wage Order 5). Employees are paid a weekly salary of 85% of their hourly rate for hours worked between 40- 56 hours per week or will be paid at 85% of their hourly rate for each hour worked if the employee works less than 40 hours per week. Any hours worked over 56 will be paid at overtime rates, in accordance with California labor law.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Train and develop certified and student athletic trainers to ensure safety, health, and wellness are executed to Woodward standards.
Provide oversight to certified athletic trainers and athletic interns.
Maintain and be knowledgeable resource of current and proposed standards of practice and state guidelines of athletic trainers.
Supervise the daily operation of the athletic training room.
Create and execute staff schedule for the athletic training room.
Responsible to provide comprehensive athletic training services to all campers, guests, and staff.
Oversite of maintaining records on campers, staff, guests utilizing our internal platforms.
Responsible for scheduling and follow-up evaluation and check-in appointments.
Liaison between parents, coaches, program staff, and athletes regarding injury care, prevention, management, treatment.
Maintains Woodward safety logs, operational sheets and incident logs.
Ensure the Athletic Training Room is covered on a rotational basis.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
Minimum Bachelor's degree
NATABOC Certified
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Licensure
Must have 2+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens
Health and Safety Certifications:
Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Has the ability to implement ideas.
BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
Ability to work within confined spaces.
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
