Responsibilities

Our client is seeking an Atlassian Tools Specialist to join their team! In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the team’s usage of Confluence and Jira. You will oversee multiple Confluence spaces and Jira projects, with hundreds of daily users, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing complex custom workflows and fields in Jira, as well as custom-developed tools and pages in Confluence. Your in-depth technical knowledge and experience in Atlassian tools, integrations, macros, and administration will be essential to our team’s ability to enhance performance and collaboration.

Manage and optimize Confluence and Jira usageOversee multiple Confluence spaces and Jira projects with hundreds of daily usersImplement, troubleshoot, and manage complex custom workflows and fields in JiraDevelop and manage custom tools and pages in ConfluenceSupport both highly technical software development teams and functional stakeholdersGather requirements for business processes and identify areas for functionality improvementConfigure and manage plans with Jira Advanced RoadmapsConfigure Confluence pages with Jira dashboards and enforce Jira hygieneProvide technical troubleshooting and process implementationCollaborate effectively with team members and stakeholdersManage permission groups and permission management across Jira projects and Confluence spaces

Requirements

3+ years as an Atlassian administratorStrong knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in Atlassian toolsExperience implementing and managing complex Jira configurations (workflows, boards, fields, schemes, notifications, integrations, automation, etc.)Ability to gather requirements for business processes and optimize Jira/Confluence organizational frameworkProficient in configuring and managing plans with Jira Advanced RoadmapsExcellent JQL knowledgeExperience in front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience with Confluence macros including ConfiForms, table filters, pivot tables, table transformers, UI tabs, and shared blocksExperience with Jira Structure, Jira Big Picture, and JSM InsightsExcellent technical troubleshooting and process implementation skillsExceptional customer service and team collaboration skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with Microsoft 365 (M365) suiteAbility to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF located in Washington D.C.

Preferred Requirements

Experience integrating Atlassian tools with the M365 suite and PowerPlatformExperience or familiarity with DHS’s Maestro collaboration environmentExperience in Xray test management for JiraExperience in IT Service Management operations (Incident Management, Service Request, etc.)In-depth knowledge of administering ITSM toolsRelevant certificationsFamiliarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWSFamiliarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) and the intel cycleFamiliarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldExperience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environmentDemonstrated ability to leverage data and metrics to make informed decisionsA passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologiesAny relevant certifications is a plus

Education/Certification Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience as it relates to the role

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
