Description
A.T. Still University is actively seeking an exempt, Financial/Business Systems Analyst on the Kirksville, MO campus. The Financial/Business Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing financial and business systems to ensure efficient operations within the finance department. This role supports daily system maintenance, workflow improvements, financial reporting, and is pivotal implementing an ERP system replacement as well as other system implementations and improvements. This individual will lead the end-to-end process of evaluating, selecting, implementing, and optimizing software solutions and system replacements in the Finance Office. They will work cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, driving measurable improvements to business operations.
**Major Job Duties:**
+ Administer and maintain financial systems, including Microsoft Dynamics GP, Chrome River, Unimarket, and Anthology, ensuring optimal performance and user support.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
+ Lead troubleshooting efforts for system-related issues and provide solutions to minimize disruptions.
+ Collaborate on accounts payable, procurement, budgeting, and financial accounting tasks, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
+ Develop and refine financial reports using tools such as Microsoft Management Reporter and Power BI.
+ Act as a key contributor in the ERP replacement project, managing data conversion, testing, and system deployment.
+ Lead the end-to-end evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of software solutions and system replacements.
+ Provide training and ongoing support for finance staff on system usage and updates.
+ Ensure all systems and processes align with GAAP and institutional policies.
+ Partner with IT and other departments to facilitate seamless system integrations.
+ Monitor and ensure data integrity across all financial systems.
+ Daily maintenance of financial systems, including user account updates and configuration changes.
+ Process improvements for enhanced financial workflows.
+ System troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
+ Active involvement in budgeting, procurement, and accounts payable processes.
+ Financial reporting development and optimization, utilizing tools such as Power BI.
+ Leadership in ERP replacement and additional system implementation projects.
+ Training and supporting staff in the use of financial systems.
+ Collaboration with IT and other departments for seamless system integration.
+ Ensuring compliance with GAAP and institutional policies.
+ Monitoring and maintaining system data integrity.
**Work Location**
The telecommute/hybrid work model supports the diverse technical and analytical demands of the Financial/Business Systems Analyst position by enabling a blend of on-campus collaboration and remote productivity. On-campus presence ensures effective coordination with finance team members and other departments, while remote work allows the analyst to focus on detailed system maintenance, data analysis, and project development without distractions.
**Education/Experience**
+ 4 year college degree - Accounting/Finance/Information Technology, or related field.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP.
+ Familiarity with financial systems, including ERP, budgeting, and reporting tools.
+ Familiarity with Power BI and other business intelligence platforms is highly desirable.
+ 3-5 years of experience preferred.
+ Experience with business process improvement and financial workflow optimization.
+ Proficiency in IT systems management, integration, and troubleshooting.
+ Advanced financial analytical skills, with a focus on system-based reporting.
+ Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP), financial software (e.g., Chrome River, Unimarket, Anthology), and tools such as Microsoft Management Reporter.
+ Familiarity with accounts payable, procurement processes, and budgeting principles.
+ Prior experience in higher education or nonprofit finance is preferred.
+ Project management experience, particularly with software implementations or upgrades.
