Attending Physician - Pulmonary/Critical Care

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Attending Physician - Pulmonary/Critical Care at Kings County Hospital. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Under general direction, with latitude for independent judgment and discretion, performs the most difficult and highly specialized professional medical work of managing patients admitted to the Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Intensive Care Unit Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The position is night shifts - 14 hour shifts/3 times a week. 

The Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Physician performs critical care consults and procedures, treats ambulatory care patients, and reads pulmonary lab tests.

Examines patients, orders, performs or supervises appropriate therapeutic treatments. Consults with other members of the professional staff, and may give guidance, advise, or professional medical opinion to less experienced members of the professional medical staff, the house staff and other members of the health care team. May provide instruction for Medical Students in specialty or subspecialty areas. For other designated specialties and/or subspecialties, performs the difficult, and highly specialized professional work related to the field.
