Clean Harbors is looking for a **Litigation Attorney** to sit in Norwell, MA. The Litigation Attorney provides legal advice and counsel on pending and potential claims, including matters covered by the Company’s insurance programs (Auto/General Liability/Property), arising out of the Company’s various business operations. **Why work for Clean Harbors?** + Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5! + Competitive wages + Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment + Group 401K with company matching component + Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career + Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement + Positive and safe work environments + Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. + Provides advice and counsel to business units and employees in connection with litigated matters and pre-litigation investigations and demands. + Coordinates the efficient and effective defense of litigated matters with the Risk Management department or other business units. + Manages external counsel’s representation of the company and its employees, and assists external counsel in the preservation, collection and production of discovery materials. + Coordinates internal investigations, including collection of key electronic data and paper documents, witness interviews and physical inspections of company or third-party property. + Reviews notices of violation issued by regulatory authorities, works with Company personnel and/or outside counsel to respond to and defend such notices. + Reviews subpoenas and document requests issued by regulatory authorities or other third parties and compiles responses to the same. + Evaluates the scope and extent of contractual indemnity claims and insurance coverage issues connected to pending or potential claims. + Conducts research and prepares legal analysis and memoranda on legal issues. + Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the Company. + Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management as required by the needs of the Company and its various business units. + JD and admitted to a state bar.
