Description We are looking for an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Rye, New York, United States. In this role, you will be handling a variety of insurance defense matters, from inception to resolution, and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases. This role is within the legal industry and requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters, including legal research and analysis on insurance laws and regulations • Draft legal papers, motions, and briefs • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide legal advice and guidance to clients • Stay updated on developments in insurance law and industry trends • Manage legal project timelines and deliverables efficiently • Ensure accurate and up-to-date client records • Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions and activities • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Requirements • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Possession of a valid license to practice law in the state. • A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Attorney or Lawyer is required. • Proven experience in Insurance Defense and Insurance Defense Litigation. • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to argue cases convincingly. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously. • Proficient in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Must have high ethical standards and professional integrity. • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team. • Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work. • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. • Must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with changes in laws and regulations.
