Attorney/Lawyer
Description We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be primarily involved in managing and drafting legal documents related to compensation and employment, advising on relevant regulatory issues, and acting as a liaison between different departments. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Draft, amend and manage employment agreements, compensation plans, and related documents for sales-related employees. • Provide advice to the business on various legal, compensation, and regulatory issues. • Develop and manage templates for compensation plans. • Act as the primary point of contact between the legal department and other departments such as business operations, finance, human resources, compliance, and licensing. • Take ownership of key projects to address legal and compliance needs within the organization. • Assist the legal department with overflow work as needed. • Draft contracts and agreements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and demonstrate a willingness to understand the business. • Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle a heavy workload under changing priorities. Skills: • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat • Experience in Drafting • Ability to Draft Contracts • Experience in Drafting Agreements Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school • Active and valid attorney's license in the state • Proficient in drafting legal documents, contracts, and agreements • Excellent understanding and application of legal principles, legal research, and case analysis • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and other relevant software for document management • Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate effectively • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong ethical and professional conduct • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with changes in law.
