Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney based in Chicago, Illinois. This role primarily involves handling Family Law cases, with a focus on providing high-quality legal services and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate would have 1+ year of experience, and be comfortable working 4 days a week in the Arlington Heights office, and 1 day a week from home. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: • Independently managing a diverse range of Family Law cases from inception to completion, including Divorce, Guardianship, and Adoption. • Conducting thorough legal research and draft compelling legal documents. • Effectively communicating with clients, staff, and other attorneys to ensure smooth case progress. • Representing clients in court, demonstrating strong trial experience and courtroom etiquette. • Taking and defending depositions, showcasing exceptional knowledge of deposition procedures and guidelines. • Handling complex financial cases, ensuring accurate understanding and representation of client's status. • Exhibiting excellent writing skills when drafting legal documents and correspondences. • Maintaining a professional demeanor and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues. Requirements • Must hold a valid license to practice law in the state of employment • Minimum of one year of experience in legal practice, preferably in the field of Family Law • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze legal documents for accuracy • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, legal staff, and court officials • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite • High ethical standards and professional integrity • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically • Strong organization skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to learn new areas of law as required.
