Description Robert Half is partnering with a business-oriented law firm in Chicago that is seeking a Corporate Transactional Attorney to join their team. This role will primarily involve handling intricate corporate transactions, providing legal advice on corporate governance, and collaborating with senior partners to offer strategic counsel. The successful candidate will also have a crucial role in building lasting relationships with business owners and stakeholders. Responsibilities: + Handle complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, business restructurings, and succession planning for closely-held businesses + Advise clients on legal aspects of corporate governance, business continuity, and ownership transfers + Collaborate with senior partners to provide strategic counsel on corporate growth, financing, and exit strategies + Participate in client development activities and build long-term relationships with business owners and stakeholders Requirements + J.D. from an accredited law school and active Illinois Bar membership + Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate transactional work, with a focus on M& A, venture capital, and corporate finance + Transportable book of business preferred but not required + Strong understanding of the legal challenges facing closely-held businesses + Excellent communication and client management skills + Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead and grow a corporate practice + Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism Competitive pay, a flexible work from home schedule, 1400 annual billable hours, and excellent benefits are offered.
