Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer based in Houston, Texas. This role primarily focuses on bankruptcy law, with a specific emphasis on business and commercial bankruptcy matters. The successful candidate will join our legal team, contributing their expertise and knowledge in handling complex cases and managing caseloads independently. Responsibilities: • Handle complex business and commercial bankruptcy cases, particularly from the creditor's perspective • Conduct thorough legal research and provide analytical insights for case proceedings • Manage a caseload independently, ensuring all legal matters are addressed efficiently • Utilize strong negotiation skills to represent clients effectively in legal proceedings • Maintain an active license to practice law in Texas • Utilize strong writing skills to draft legal documents and correspondences • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a book of business • Engage in the Houston legal community, particularly the bankruptcy bar • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment • Leverage an established network within the Houston legal community, particularly the bankruptcy bar. Requirements • Applicant must possess a strong understanding and practical experience in Bankruptcy law. • Proficiency in handling Bankruptcy - Chapter 11 cases is required. • Demonstrable experience with Bankruptcy Filings is essential. • Comprehensive knowledge of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is necessary. • Proven experience in Consumer Bankruptcy cases is expected. • Applicant must be a Licensed Attorney in good standing. • Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide effective and practical legal solutions is vital.
