Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer, specializing in family law, located in Chicago, Illinois. As an Attorney/Lawyer, you will be involved in intricate family law cases, with a focus on litigation. Additionally, you will be expected to adapt swiftly to changes and handle emotionally challenging situations professionally. Responsibilities • Work on intricate family law cases, providing expert legal counsel and advice • Engage in litigation, demonstrating skill and confidence in the courtroom • Be flexible and able to adapt to sudden changes in case dynamics • Handle emotionally challenging situations and materials professionally • Utilize user-friendly billing software and outlook for efficient task management • Be prepared to extend work hours during emergencies, especially those related to child-related cases • Be comfortable with frequent court appearances and trials • Show willingness to learn and improve, with an understanding of the nature of family law work. Requirements • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Must be admitted to the state bar. • Possess a strong understanding and experience in Family Law. • Proven track record of making effective Court Appearances. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Proficient in legal research and writing. • High ethical standards and detail-oriented integrity. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
