Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Attorney with significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. This role will involve providing strategic legal guidance to support business objectives while managing risk effectively.
-Key Responsibilities:
+ Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to service agreements, supplier contracts, licensing agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (Source: Legal SG25 US Legal.docx – context: legal jobs, skills gaps).
+ Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
+ Provide legal support on matters related to corporate governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance
+ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and operations, to drive business transactions and ensure contract terms align with organizational goals.
+ Monitor and update the company’s standard contract templates to maintain compliance with evolving legal standards and best practices.
+ Stay informed about changing laws and industry trends that affect corporate contracts and advise on their potential impact.
+ Assist with other corporate legal matters as needed, including mergers and acquisitions, employment issues, and IP matters.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
+ Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar license.
+ 3-7+ years of legal experience, with a focus on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (Source: Legal SG25 US Legal.docx).
+ Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including contract law, corporate governance, and compliance standards- healthcare experience a plus.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal terms in a clear and concise manner.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
+ Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
