Description We are currently looking for a senior family law attorney to join our fast-growing law firm and our new San Jose branch. Responsibilities: • Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and declarations. • Provide clients with legal advice on their rights and obligations related to family matters including divorce, child custody, and support. • Conduct negotiations to resolve family law issues without proceeding to court trials. • Monitor and efficiently manage assigned caseload while providing high-quality legal representation to our clientele. • Prepare for trials and represent clients in court hearings, arbitration, and mediation sessions. • Stay abreast of recent changes in legislation, contribute to the firm’s reputation by publishing and presenting at conferences, and participate in professional organizations. • Engage in the management of documents related to family law and civil litigation. • Represent clients in court hearings and handle dissolutions efficiently. Requirements • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Must be admitted to the state bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law. • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the legal field is required. • Proven experience in Document Management is essential. • Must have demonstrable expertise in Civil Litigation. • Experience in Family Law is highly desirable. • Must have participated in Court Hearings. • Knowledge and experience in handling Dissolutions are required. • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to interpret laws and regulations. • Possess strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidentiality. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to provide legal analysis and advice. • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
