As an Audience Development Manager at Sony Commercial Group you will deliver best in class organic digital marketing strategies for our UK artists.
The role is focused on building and implementing communication strategies across the organic digital marketing mix, including owned channels (CRM, Websites), social, content, fan communities and streaming, with the objective to grow our artists audiences, drive engagement, loyalty and advocacy with fans and a mass audience.
You will report into the ‘Head of Content and Audience Development’ and work as part of the Digital Marketing Team within Commercial Group.
What you'll do:Planning & Strategy
Develop bespoke website, social and CRM marketing strategies for our UK artists, working alongside Commercial Group’s Marketing team to ensure campaigns are aligned with wider objectives and the approved M&P budget. Plans should aim to drive fan engagement and grow audiences across all platforms, with a particular focus on short-form platforms including TikTok. You’ll work closely with our label analyst to establish objectives and KPIs at the start of a campaign and utilise our dashboards to maintaining a consistent assessment throughout the lifespan of a project. Your work should always aim to create innovative new discovery paths to our heritage and younger catalogues via existing and new platform opportunities.Project Managing
Project managing all digital aspects of artist campaigns including overseeing timelines, building and executing social media roll out plans, managing content delivery deadlines, building and nurturing relationships with artist managers and picking up ad-hoc questions raised outside of your active campaigns. Socials Creating content and roll out plans for artist’s socials including scheduling, writing copy, creating and delivering assets. Working alongside Commercial Group’s video team, you’ll be making sure plans are aligned and that long form video roll outs are supported across artist channels. You will also be overseeing relationships with artist’s social agencies where relevant. You’ll also be exploring and executing untapped niche community opportunities across the likes of Discord, Reddit, Facebook Groups, etc.Content
Building and delivering creative static assets and short form video content for our artists channels including socials, DSPs, CRM and websites. You’ll edit content yourself, as well as working with external agencies and designers to bring your content visions to live. Where relevant, you’ll also be capturing content with the artist direct yourself or with our video team.DSPs & Streaming Opportunities
Working together with the wider Digital and Sales teams to ensure artist channels are fully optimised across all audio and video streaming platforms, as well as creating plans that will actively drive streaming consumption and working with our Sales team on DSP partnership opportunities.Creator Marketing
Identify and explore creator opportunities across short form platforms, collaborating with external agencies or with creators direct to deliver influencer marketing strategies, as well as monitoring the success of these campaigns.Owned Channels
Working on owned channels (CRM, Websites) including updating artist websites and working with our web team on larger web activations and website builds. You’ll also be developing the newsletter and competition strategies and delivering the content to our central CRM team, ensuring we are continuously harnessing 1st party data innovatively across web and CRM activations. Who you are: You will have experience in confidently leading audience-led digital strategies across the digital marketing mix, ideally from a record label, social agency or similar entertainment background Ability to project manage and prioritise when working across multiple projects simultaneously A social media native who keeps on top of the ever-changing social and digital marketing landscape, able to identify opportunities which can be applied to campaigns A creative thinker with the drive to lead campaigns with innovation and maximum curiosity, continuously pushing boundaries You will possess excellent verbal and copy-writing skills, have expert knowledge of the digital landscape, be highly creative and curious.
