OVERVIEW

Our current global collaboration and customer engagement architecture supports 120 offices in the U.S., Spain, Germany, Singapore, China, France and the UK.  The current and future infrastructure includes: 

170 Polycom endpoints and a 300-port RMX 

Convert 380 conference rooms to Microsoft MTR 

Design, build & support 50 plus large format monitors 

Build & support 30 plus large presentation auditoriums 

Support - Microsoft Teams, Zoom rooms 

Design & install of at least 5 office moves annual 

Design & build & configure large building A\V installation of new Richmond VA office campus 

Support multiple off site large product conferences and sales conferences 

6 data centers, 3,000 VM hosts, F5 load balancers, Checkpoint firewalls 

 

CoStar Group is currently seeking an experienced and professional Audio-Visual Install Engineer. The Audio-Visual Install Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the installation of our 400 + worldwide conference rooms. 

 

This role is based in our Orange County, CA office and would be 5 days a week in office. 

Travel: This position will require travel to our multiple offices across the country and some international travel maybe required. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Install monitors, A\V wall racks, speakers, cameras and audio systems 

Install Mics and Biamp speaker systems in medium to large conference rooms. 

Wire and terminate A/V racks, interfaces and touch panels. 

Assist with device mounting, speaker installation, network and telephone jacking, patch panel and punch block termination and all parameters of pre-final installation work. 

Strong understanding of A/V fundamentals (equipment functionality, wiring terminations, rack fabrication) 

Familiarity and understanding of AutoCAD schematics, blueprints, elevations and floor plans. 

Ability to work well both independently and with a team. 

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects. 

Capability to hang flat screens, speakers and projection screens from walls or ceilings. 

Perform ad-hoc system configuration, leveling, and wiring. 

Prefabricate and provide QA inspection of systems prior to shipping for installation. 

Build A\V rack systems by installing PCs, video switches and streaming players and connecting and labeling devices. 

The position will build A/V racks to a specified standard and travel to remote offices to install the equipment. This position is a 65% traveling position where employee will travel to many NFL cities. 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

3+ years of related experience in installing A\V conference room equipment 

3+ years of configuration and trouble-shooting experience, preferably with A/V equipment 

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for profit university or college. 

Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner 

Effectively communicate with employees and colleagues. 

Ability to evaluate conference room conditions to install monitors, racks, speakers and implement appropriate support systems and backing to support equipment. 

Ability to install or move 110 Volt power. 

Ability to patch wall board and paint walls 

Ability to terminate Cat 6 patch panel and jacks 

Ability to work and think independently towards meeting project deadlines and troubleshooting. 

A track record of commitment to prior employers.  
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS  

Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment 

CAD and Visio skills 

Detailed-oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks 

Strong oral and written communication skills 

Solid problem solving and consultative skills in a fast-paced environment 

Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management 

Ability to work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, engineering staff, consultants, and designers. 

Ability to perform under-pressure 

Able and willing to work early and late and weekend hours as needed

This position offers a base salary range of $85,000- $107,400 based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
