General Summary:

Responsible for reviewing audio and visual footage and using computer software to organize clips into a cohesive unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with Sr. Manager, Audiovisual Services to shoot and edit video for DART24 Studio Productions.Responsible for setting up and operating camera equipment in studio, out in the field, and in conditions where elements such as lighting, setting, temperature, etc. are inconsistent.Manage all editing requests.Responsible for video editing and touch-up using appropriate tools.Maintain and update all bus, rail, TRE, DART system and executive's video.Assist in tracking monthly analytics.Contribute to annual budget process.Assist in the exploration and recommendation of emerging audiovisual technologies for possible use by the agency.Will be cross trained to provide audiovisual support at Board meetings, committee meetings, public meetings, public hearings, grand openings, groundbreakings, workshops, etc.Support other video and photography needs for DART24 Studio Productions.Assist in managing AV equipment to include distribution, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Digital Cinematography, Broadcast or Electronic Communications, Media Communications, Audio and Visual Communication technology or related field.Four (4) years’ experience in videography or photography and audiovisual to include one (1) year experience’ as commercial/lifestyle photographer or videographer.Proficiency of Mac and PC software applications to include Microsoft Office, photo/video editing software or other related software applications.Proficient with video cameras, in studio and on location.Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.Physical ability required to walk, bend/stoop, frequently, more than 25% of work time, stand, and frequently, 25% or more of work time, lift, load/unload, push, or move objects weighing 5 - 50 pounds such as audio/visual equipment to include monitor, video recorders, etc.Must have a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of how artificial and natural   lighting affects different settings, shapes, skin tones, etc.Working knowledge with FCPX and DaVinci platforms.Knowledge of budget development/analysis, and operational cost factors.Knowledge of computerized tape editing applications and procedures.Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of photography, video and studio production.Knowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.Professional knowledge of photoshop, lightroom and explore all new editing platforms.Ability to work irregular hours and to be available to work on short notice.Ability to maintain photographic supplies, cameras, lenses, soft boxes, studio and all other photographic equipment.Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.Ability to think and act independently.Ability to interact professionally with DART employees, Board of Directors and their staff, elected officials, stakeholders, and the public.Ability to exercise judgment and creativity in making decisions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
