Touro University is seeking a service-oriented Audio-Visual Specialist to join Information Technology team at the University’s main campus located at 3 Times Square New York City. The ideal candidate will ensure events are highly successful, host are comfortable with the technology and energized too partner with event sponsor(s). This role requires a proactive individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional audio-visual experiences and is committed to making every event memorable.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with event sponsors to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
Set up, operate, test and maintain audio-visual equipment, including microphones, projectors, sound systems, and lighting before, during and after events.Provide on-site support, troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during events to ensure everything runs smoothly.Coordinate and plan the perfect event with and understanding and ability to adapt, improvise and overcome any challenges.Train and supervise any additional staff or volunteers assisting with audio-visual tasks.Stay updated with the latest audio-visual technology and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed.Maintain an inventory of audio-visual equipment and ensure all items are in good working condition. Assist in the planning and execution of events, ensuring all audio-visual throughout Touro University.Additional tasks as requested by supervisor. QualificationsEducation/ Experience
2+ years of proven experience as an Audio-Visual Specialist or similar role.Certification in audio-visual technology or related field.Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Experience working in a university or public assembly setting.Familiarity with the latest trends and advancements in audio-visual technology.Familiarity with Extron and Crestron a plusFamiliarity with Zoom technologies a plusTravel
