TEKsystems, in support of the Administrative Office of the Courts Information & Technology Services (ITS) Department, is seeking contract resources for the role of AV Specialist. This position will work alongside the AV Manager, AV Team Lead, and AV Technicians providing technical direction and support of digital audio/video recording systems for the KCOJ. The position encompasses project management, research and evaluation, training, vendor relationship management, customer support, problem solving resolution, and architectural design of solutions. Must be a visionary, yet technical, to implement digital A/V records in accordance with the KY e-Court program for the KCOJ and AOC statewide programs, video conferencing , arraignment, signage, conversion, and storage. Digital A/V is an ever growing and expanding technology within the KCOJ. Must adapt quickly. DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS CLASSIFICATION: • Participates in the implementation of standard policies and procedures pertaining to introduction and utilization of new technology and equipment for courtroom technology environments. • Works with the court in the development and eventual implementation of short and long range technological improvements, ensuring minimal disruption to courtroom activities. • Supports day to day operations of any technology used in the court to ensure reliable and effective operation. • Supports current installations and support of the A/V components of digital recording systems and video conferencing systems. • Tests and evaluates new technology prior to application in court environment. • Assists in development of procedural guidelines and supplemental training documentation as needed for end users. • Provides technical support on A/V hardware, control systems, and network/signal issues. • Participates in development of a strategy for digital court records that is consistent with the vision of the KY e-Court program. • Proposes a solution for AOC statewide programs to include, but not limited to, detention pretrial interviews, remote video arraignments, and language interpreting services. • Provides in house support to other TS divisions and interface with the software developers for enterprise content management, docket displays, and courthouse signage. • Assists in development of standard operating procedures and processes for AOC A/V Team. • Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business related field Experience: Three years of experience preferred but not required Education Substitute: Associate Degree and related job experience will substitute for Bachelor’s Degree on a year for year basis SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: (LICENSES, REGULATIONS, CERTIFICATES, ADVANCED EDUCATION, ETC.) • Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Previous experience working with courts and/or government is preferred TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • On-call availability as required. • Work typically in office setting, court rooms, and justice facilities. • Ability to lift and transports moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals. • Travel required to counties surrounding Franklin County (Frankfort) is required from time to time. Mileage is paid by AOC.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
