**Job Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Full time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** The Audiology Assistant assists in the delivery of audiologic services under the supervision of a licensed audiologist. The Audiology Assistant increases the availability of audiology services, increases productivity by reducing wait times and enhances patient satisfaction. We require Audiology Assistants to have an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders to meet Massachusetts requirements. We can provide training and supervision to become an Audiology Assistant! **Job Description:** Preparation of hearing aids and accessories for the fitting and dispensing by the audiologist, including electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids and other amplification devices. Troubleshooting, cleaning and minor repairs to hearing aids, earmolds and other amplification devices. Instructs patients in proper use and care of hearing aids and other amplification devices. Demonstrates Assistive Listening Devices. Assists Audiologist in treatment programs. Performs non-diagnostic otoscopy. Assists Audiolgoists in test patient preparation and testing of pediatric patients. Maintains and restocks test and treatment rooms. Equipment maintenance and maintains inventory. Interacts with hearing instrument manufacturers/suppliers regarding staus of orders/repairs. Earmold impression. Packaging and mailing earmold orders, device repairs and manufacturer repairs. Record keeping, including documenting work associated with direct or indirect patient care that is co-signed by the supervising Audiologist. Performs appointment scheduling and various clerical and administrative duties, as necessary. Participates in practice improvement initiatives. Audiologoy Assistants will ensure that PHI (Patient Health Information) will only be used for the purposes of patient TPO (treatment, payment and operations). APG patient personal health information is only shared with individuals who are actively managing the patient's care. NO other parties are entitled to receive, discuss a patient's personal health information without the patient's permission. The Audiology Assistant will ensure patient safety practices to prevent/eliminate risk of patient harm.
