Job Description
Candidates will be expected to gather, review, and input quarterly financial information as well as annual audits and tax returns. This position requires maintaining permanent files for projects that have not yet stabilized within the portfolio and ensuring the information of all projects is accurately maintained in the database. The role demands the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
ResponsibilitiesGather, review, and input quarterly financial information.Conduct annual audits and prepare tax returns.Maintain permanent files for projects not yet stabilized within the portfolio.Ensure accurate maintenance of all project information contained in the database.Perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Essential SkillsProficiency in tax, accounting, and finance.Attention to detail.Experience in real estate and financial analysis.Tax accounting skills.Strong computer skills to navigate multiple cloud-based platforms.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting.At least 3 years of accounting and tax experience required; public accounting, real estate, or partnership tax preferred.Knowledge of real estate development terminology and financial analysis preferred.Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credits is a plus.Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Demonstrate habits of accuracy and reliability.Work Environment
This role includes a 2-week training period in the office in Columbia, which could be as few as 3-5 days. Candidates must provide their own laptop. After the training period, the job will be 100% remote. The position offers excellent office space and great career opportunities within a private investment/non-profit organization located in Columbia, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
