the direct supervision of the Release of Information Manager and will serve as the central person for all audit activities This position is responsible and accountable for timely and accurate release of government and non government ADRrsquos proper documentation tracking and follow up of requests for information and timely coordination of appeals and associated deadlines The Audit Coordinator will also work in collaboration with the Denials Specialist IPosition ResponsibilitiesKey Areas of Responsibility Conducts oversight of all audit functionsmiddot Coordinates initiates monitors and responds to all audit requestsdemandsmiddot Initiates and monitors the appeal processes in a timely mannermiddot Monitors timeliness of activities including responses and appeals maintaining tracking datamiddot Enters and maintains required data in the designated software application monitoring activities and processes to ensure requirements and deadlines are metmiddot Monitors the clinical appeal process coordinates second level appeals and monitors progressmiddot Supports the denials management team by maintaining resource documents and spreadsheets and performing delegated tasksmiddot Provides reports and updates relative to the audit programmiddot Follows all audit activity to closure Communicationmiddot Communicates with hospital staff designated vendor representatives and others as needed for timely and accurate processing of audit contractorsrsquo activitiesmiddot Communicates across departments as needed Process Improvementmiddot Continuously evaluates and improves processes in preparation for audit requests and in response to audit findingsmiddot Assists interdisciplinary teams in identifying and prioritizing areas of process improvement and developimplement fieldExperiencemiddot Minimum Two yearsrsquo experience within healthcare revenue cycle or other healthcare field performing a variety of organizational administrative or process improvement functionsmiddot Preferred Three yearsrsquo experience within revenue cycle or other healthcare field performing a variety of organization administrative or process improvement functionsLicensure Certification Registrationmiddot Preferred A Certified Professional Coder with a Registered Health Information Technician RHIT or a Certified Coding Specialist CCS andor Registered Health Information Administrator RHIA Language Skillsmiddot Minimum Must be able to speak read and write English Second language abilities a plusmiddot Preferred Must be able to speak read and write English Second language abilities a plusKnowledge Skills and Ability Requirements middot Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailmiddot Strong interpersonal skillsmiddot
