Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Audit Function globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.
Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
Education/Experience
Working knowledge of Global Banking and Markets products: Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Commodities, Prime Services and Loan Ops, and processes. 3-5 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit with GBM, GWO, and/or Regulatory background. Knowledge about key capital markets processes and controls like transaction verification, confirmations, payments & settlements, static and reference data, regulatory requirements under derivatives and Volcker regimes, and FOBO and reporting reconciliations. Good analytical skills and proficiency in the use of Advanced data analytic or visualization tools to assess risk in complex processes and for control testing. Experience with tools such as Python or Alteryx would be an important asset. Ability to quickly understand the risks associated with the processes and formulate/update audit procedures to ensure adequacy of the controls. Ability to challenge the status quo and think outside the box. Strong team player and work well in integrated audits (multiple audit teams working together). Proficient at applying risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, processes and methodologies to performance and review of audits. Ability to supervise multiple projects at any given time. Developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to work with staff and management at various levels. Good people management and coaching/development skills. Ability to work in high levels of ambiguity and in a rapidly changing environment. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and other regular Office applications. Completed NFA Swaps Proficiency Requirements Course would be an important asset. Desirable CFA, CIA, FRM certifications.
