Audit Remediation Senior Analyst
Kearney & Company is seeking an Audit Remediation Analyst to join our team! The Audit Remediation Analyst will operate within a client-facing assurance team that supports audit remediation activities within the headquarters of a large federal agency. This role will entail reviewing audit findings against existing processes, supporting creation of remediation plans, development of process improvements and supporting other ad-hoc process improvements or compliance activities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyze new or existing legislation, guidance, or agency policy, identify potential gaps in existing operations, and recommend solutions Analyze audit findings and support resolution activities including but not limited to process owner interviews, process analysis, gap analysis between old and new processes, and resulting change management support Support or lead creation of new process solution including but not limited to desktop guides, quick reference sheets and one pagers, and briefing materials Support training development including training materials and supporting resolving questions from the customer Provide meeting support including notetaking, action item tracking, and document management Perform analytics on financial, acquisition, and asset management data ensuring compliance with procedures and control objectives Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments Contribute to delivery of engagement objectives, actions, and status reporting Support the mentorship and review of junior staff on the project Ability to analyze process deficiencies and identify improvement recommendations Ability to read guidance and regulations and apply to development of lasting solutions for financial offices Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across both business and technical deliverables Self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently or within a team Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, and/or business-related field Minimum 2 years related work experience Experience working with federal audit or processes with a CFO Act Agency Understanding of OMB A-123 and Green Book compliance Support development of federal financial reporting and operational reports or analysis using a range of analytic tools Support development of analytic or automation tools to remediate audit issues, or streamline operational processes within federal, departmental, and component Ability to understand federal financial, procurement and asset management processes and data with a solid understanding of federal financial processes authoring standard operating procedures and other documentation Strong written and verbal communication with an ability to condense complex information into briefings for internal teams or external clients Strong critical thinking skills that can analyze data, identify issues, and reconcile between large, frequently complex datasets Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship) Preferred Qualifications MBA/MS degree from an accredited college/university CPA Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software Understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and application to Internal Use Software (IUS) Ability to independently design solutions to solve complex operational deficiencies Understanding of full cycle financial reporting federal audits Overview Exclusively focused on the Government, Kearney & Company provides financial services, including auditing, consulting, and technology services. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
