Audit Senior
Description We are seeking an Audit Senior based in Lafayette, Indiana. This role is within the accounting industry and is focuses on carrying out auditing tasks, processing customer applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for resolving customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts. Responsibilities: • Execute and plan attest engagements, working directly with team members and clients • Draft necessary reports following audit and accounting engagements • Provide technical reviews and ensure adherence to auditing standards • Handle a mix of compilations and reviews, including audits for not-for-profit entities • Utilize MS Excel to manage and analyze data effectively • Interface with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions • Work on tax-related tasks including individual and corporate taxation • Contribute to a consultative environment, acting as a business partner to clients rather than a mere service provider • Manage customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner • Maintain accurate customer credit records and take appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards certification is preferred • Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory • Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, preferably in a financial setting • Expertise in individual and partnership tax laws • Must have a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments • Willingness to stay updated with industry and regulatory changes • Must adhere to professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
