POSITION TITLE:  Auditor- Quality Assurance 

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor- Quality Assurance

              

POSITION SUMMARY: To accurately evaluate, compile and communicate QA Top of Production Sample testing results and QA DC Audit Inspection results to NY QA teams by using American Eagle Outfitters Design Specifications and Performance Testing Standards requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Update and maintain integrity of departmental records with QA TOP Sample results and on all QA DC Audit Inspection results for reporting purposes.  Maintain the daily workload timelines towards the completion of tasks and any last minute urgent requests. Ability to accurately measure garments of all TOP Samples and called audit styles/PO as set forth by American Eagle Outfitters in regards to the Points of Measure and have the ability to visually review garments for overall balance, construction details, and special treatments. Periodically generate QA work orders and monitor progress through the supply chain from Packing and Backstock or any PO ETA dates.  Ability to compile required DC audit charts and complete audit inspections using Tradestone and PDM systems and departmental software to identify and access American Eagle Outfitters Design Specifications of called styles/PO. Communicate with NY QA Teams on all aspects of these evaluations.  Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with American Eagle Outfitters policy. Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising or Textile Sciences preferred. Experience in fabric, garment or apparel quality and/or textiles highly desired.  Excellent computer skills with experience in Outlook, Excel, Tradestone, PLM, Cognos preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong investigative and problems solving skills. Ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
